Is my WiFi cut if my credit runs out?
No. Credit can go down to −₱500. Past that, only new paid sessions pause until you top up.
People already online stay online, and free café WiFi keeps working. Top up and it all works again at once.
Do you hold my customers' money?
No. Customers pay your own GCash QR, or give you cash. Moon never touches that money. Moon's fee comes from your prepaid Moon credit.
What if I only take cash?
That's fine. Tap “Put someone online” and give them a WiFi code. The fee is still 3% of each paid session, taken from your credit, the same as GCash.
How do I pay Moon?
You top up your Moon credit in one of two ways:
- Cash to a Moon agent, who gives you a receipt in the app.
- GCash “Send money” to one of the Moon team's numbers, then type the 13-digit reference number in the app. The Moon team confirms it.
Automatic online top-up is coming soon.
Can I use my own brand?
Yes. Your WiFi name, your business name and your logo lead the WiFi page. A small “Powered by Moon” link always sits at the bottom.
What's the WiFi stick?
A small stick for homes and small shops. It plugs into any phone charger and shares your internet with about 8 people at once. It costs about ₱500 plus postage. More about the stick
Is it legal?
You run your own WiFi, under your own name, for your own customers. Moon gives you the WiFi page, the app and the tools.
When you sign up, you accept the owner terms and tick a declaration that your internet plan and your business are your responsibility. If you are not sure what your internet plan allows, ask your provider.
What do my customers agree to?
To get online, customers agree to the WiFi terms. Then they choose. “Accept all & connect” also says yes to offers from you and deals from Moon and local shops. “Connect without offers” gets them online with no offers.
Nothing is pre-ticked, and they can stop offers at any time. Read the WiFi terms.
What does it cost?
3% of each paid session, with 0% fees on your first ₱1,000 of sales (₱200 for homes and small shops). The Café plan is ₱999 a month extra, with the first month free. See pricing
What do you keep about my customers?
Who connected and when, for 6 months. Never which websites they visit. Contact details only if they share them, and offers only if they choose “Accept all & connect”. Read the privacy policy
